Young Girls and Buying Condoms ...

Dear World (especially women), Can you kindly STOP giving filthy looks to women and young girls that buy condoms? I went to a known service station, the young lady in front of me asked for a packet of condoms, the look on the cashier's face was uncalled for. I didn't mince my words with her, I told her straight up to get off that high horse of diabolical standards and self righteousness before she falls flat on her face. Comrades, forbidden sex is happening, in the church, in schools, in our communities, universities and everywhere else. It IS happening (especially in the church). Instead of bashing the young lady, I really am proud of her for wanting to protect herself against unwanted pregnancies and diseases. Inasmuch as condoms aren't 100% guaranteed, she is taking responsibility for herself and actions. Sex is on the loose because we refuse to talk about it at home, in the church, at schools etc. Afrika calls it a taboo to openly speak about sex YET ou...

I AM A SEED, I GROW!

I AM A SEED by: Sarah-Leigh Elago Oh Lord, They tried. They tried to bury me, But they didn't realize, That I AM A SEED. I AM A SEED, I GROW. They dug a big hole for me, Pushed me on the deep end, To make sure I was down there. With their feet, they stepped on me, To make sure I didn't get up, I laid there, with tears in my eyes, Thinking, how could they? I watched them close the hole, Throwing sand on me, As if I didn't matter, They had forgotten, that I AM A SEED. I laid deep in darkness, Overwhelmed with self loathe, Thinking to myself, I am finished. But, my spirit reminded me, who I was. I heard their footsteps, As they walked away, Thinking they had finished me, Thinking they had washed me off the face of the earth. I cried so hard, Not realizing, That my tears watered my growth, I begun to cry more, because my survival depended on it. In the deep of the ground, I began to look at myself, I...

Racism NEVER died... Say NO to racism

Dear reader, It's exactly 01:20 am in Swakopmund, Namibia and I'm up thinking about racism. I have tried to understand this thing called 'color' but I cannot seem to fathom it. Who told the world we are black or white? Who told the world that whites are superior than blacks? Who gave white people the right to mishandle black people? How did slavery came about? Not forgetting the most important question, Why is racism still existing in the 21st century? Now, in all honesty I have no perfect answer to all the above-mentioned questions. Racism has transformed itself in schools, neighborhoods, businesses, governments and so forth in such a way that many have become complacent to speak about it. Racism was never really condoned, Racism NEVER died, it is alive and kicking in a more sophisticated way. Why am I saying this? Black children and adults are STILL facing racial injustices at different levels… Last week, someone I know was attacked in his house by a white pe...
